The Chosen Children are left reeling after Meicoomon’s betrayal—an especially painful turn after the Digimon had only recently joined them with her partner, Meiko Mochizuki. As Koushirou Izumi throws himself into identifying the infection that seized control of Meicoomon, Takeru Takaishi faces a frightening possibility of his own: Patamon is beginning to show the same troubling signs seen in other infected Digimon.

A message from the enigmatic Homeostasis raises the stakes even further, warning that both the human world and the Digital World are on the brink of collapse. Homeostasis proposes a drastic “Reboot” to reset the Digital World’s data and purge the infection—but at the cost of wiping every Digimon’s memories, including those shared with their human partners. With time running out, the Chosen Children must confront whether Meicoomon can be stopped before that irreversible choice is made.
