Tatara Fujita is a reserved middle schooler with no clear plans for what comes next, getting by by keeping his head down and avoiding conflict. That approach backfires when bullies corner him for money—until Kaname Sengoku steps in and drives them off.

Sengoku brings Tatara to his dance studio, a place Tatara never would have entered on his own, yet he can’t look away from Sengoku’s forceful presence. Given the chance to dance with his classmate Shizuku Hanaoka, who regularly trains there, Tatara discovers an unexpected pull toward the spotlight. Drawn back again and again, he throws himself into practice with straightforward determination, taking his first steps into the world of competitive ballroom dance.
