Allen’s latest achievement is a set of advanced AI-equipped drones with remarkable capabilities—technology he intends for civilian applications, though others see it as a weapon worth stealing.

Everything shatters on Rikka’s 16th birthday when a paramilitary force storms the Isurugi home to seize the drone research, leaving Allen and Hyoe dead and forcing Rikka to flee with the drones. Months later, she keeps a low profile as a private detective and shares an apartment with a girl named Melissa.
