At Saitama University, two sharp-minded researchers decide to tackle a question that stubbornly resists formulas: love. When Ayame Himuro calmly announces that she has fallen for her colleague Shinya Yukimura, the confession doesn’t lead to a typical romance—it sparks a problem to be solved.

Yukimura, honest about his lack of romantic experience, can’t accept the claim without evidence and starts questioning what “being in love” even means. Equally inexperienced, Himuro joins him in turning their feelings into data, running meticulous experiments on themselves and examining the behaviors that might prove whether what they share can be scientifically defined—with a little help from those around them.
