Synopsis
With new leads on Asirpa from the foreteller Inkarmat, Saichi Sugimoto sets out for Karafuto alongside Genjirou Tanigaki and Cikapasi, traveling with Seventh Division soldiers Otonoshin Koito and Hajime Tsukishima. Pushing farther north into the bitter cold of Russian territory, they chase down every clue they can, determined to find her before anyone else does.
Unaware of what truly happened at Abashiri Prison, Asirpa is shaken by what she’s learned about her father, Wilk, and his past. Seeking answers, she follows Wilk’s old friend Kiroranke to the place where Wilk was born and raised—never realizing that Kiroranke and the sharpshooter Hyakunosuke Ogata are plotting in secret. As rival factions come to understand that even all 24 tattooed skins are meaningless without Asirpa to complete the map to the hidden Ainu gold, Sugimoto races against time to reach her first and keep her out of their grasp.
