Set in 16th-century Florence at the height of the Renaissance, *Arte* follows Arte, a spirited young noblewoman who longs to become an artist and take part in the era’s cultural rebirth. After her father’s death, the one person who supported her ambition is gone, and she’s pressured to protect her family’s reputation by marrying into nobility and living as a proper housewife—an expectation she refuses to accept.

Determined to choose her own path, Arte searches the city for a master craftsman willing to take her on as an apprentice, only to be dismissed again and again for being a woman. Her luck shifts when Leo, a respected artisan without a disciple, agrees to train her, sending Arte into a demanding new life far removed from aristocratic comfort as she works, earns her keep, and confronts the obstacles between her and true mastery.
