The Island of Giant Insects Movie

After a plane goes down on a school trip, Oribe Mutsumi and her classmates wash up on what looks like an uninhabited island. Drawing on her outdoor know-how, Mutsumi gathers the other survivors and tries to keep everyone focused on a simple goal: hold out for the roughly three days it should take for rescuers to arrive.

That plan unravels when the island’s true inhabitants reveal themselves—enormous, lethal insects. With danger closing in from every direction, Mutsumi’s familiarity with butterflies, wasps, and other species becomes a grim advantage, and possibly the group’s only chance to endure long enough to be found.
