Mayumi Doujima makes a deal with her parents: if she can’t rediscover the star she once saw long ago by her 14th birthday, she’ll abandon her dream of becoming an astronaut. Her predicament catches the attention of the eccentric Manabu Soutouin, who invites her to seek answers with Yubiwa Academy’s enigmatic Pretty Boy Detective Club—an organization with a simple creed: “Be pretty, be a boy, and be a detective!”

Mayumi brings an unusual advantage to the investigation: extraordinary eyesight that lets her pick out minute details others would miss, from distant figures to carefully concealed traps. But as the search for the “lost star” drags on and takes an unsettling turn, the club finds itself pulled into a mystery far larger than they anticipated.
