Kanon Shibuya has real musical talent, but crippling stage fright costs her a spot in Yuigaoka Girls’ High School’s music program, leaving her in the general curriculum instead. Ready to put music behind her for good, Kanon is pulled back in when her classmate Tang Keke shares an infectious enthusiasm for becoming school idols.

As Kanon and Keke try to start a school idol group, they run into firm resistance from Ren Hazuki, the school director’s daughter. Their plans take a turn when the director agrees to recognize a school idol club—on the condition that they claim first place at the Yoyogi School Idol Festival. With that challenge set, the girls’ determination is tested as they push through setbacks, meet new friends, and welcome additional members on the road to shining on stage.
