Pompo: The Cinéphile

Joelle Davidovich Pomponette—known in the industry simply as Pompo—is a gifted film producer who’s inherited both her grandfather’s connections and a sharp instinct for what plays on screen. Yet for all her talent and promise, she stubbornly sticks to churning out flashy B-movies—until she suddenly places an ambitious script in the hands of her assistant, Gene Fini. The project, centered on the life of a composer, comes with an unexpected announcement: Gene will receive his first directing credit.

Eager to prove himself, Gene dives headfirst into production, intent on making the film worthy of its aspirations. But with a crushing workload and only days before the deadline, he’s forced to confront the difficult choices and compromises that can come with trying to create something meaningful.
