In a modern world where humans live alongside angels, demons, and other supernatural neighbors, demon Neil Bowman stands out for all the wrong reasons—he’s fascinated by human culture and seemingly incapable of doing anything truly wicked. Neil ends up sharing an apartment with his online friend Ira Blood, a vampire, and a household full of distinctly nonhuman roommates: Lynn Angel, the strict angel who serves as their landlord; Lynn’s younger sister Lily, who has fallen from Heaven; Abu, a silent mummy; and Vladimir Eliot Kirilenko, a werewolf assigned to keep an eye on Neil. As the residents of Apartment 1031 settle into their peculiar routine, an unsettling truth lingers in the background—Neil carries the power of the Demon King, even if he doesn’t realize it.
