Selection Project

Suzune Miyama has spent much of her childhood confined to bed due to a frail heart, yet she’s never let go of her dream of becoming an idol. Her long-awaited chance arrives with the seventh Selection Project, a demanding competition known for launching the legendary Akari Amasawa.

Nervous but determined, Suzune steps into the preliminaries and impresses both judges and rivals with her voice—until anxiety causes her to freeze mid-performance. Although she regains her composure, the mistake costs her the top spot and seemingly ends her run. The outcome shifts when Seira Kurusu, the contestant who beat her, declares she will withdraw, insisting Suzune deserves to continue; stunned by the offer, Suzune accepts the challenge ahead and vows they’ll meet again at the summit as idols.
