Synopsis
*Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest Arc* arrived in theaters as a medium-length feature in summer 2023, turning the spotlight from the summer brass band competition to the ensemble contest—“Ancon”—where small-group performances offer a different kind of appeal from full-band battles.
To reach the Kyoto prefectural Ancon tournament, Kitauji High School must first choose a representative team through an in-school preliminary round. With a brass band of more than 50 members and multiple issues surfacing, newly appointed club president Kumiko finds herself navigating a demanding selection process as the struggle-filled days begin.
