Giant Beasts of Ars

In the world of Ars, humanity has spent decades locked in war with colossal beasts that tear through the land and consume its resources. The front line belongs to Paladins—warriors who channel the overwhelming, often uncontrollable magic of Clerics to bring the monsters down.

After losing his partner in battle, former Paladin Jiiro meets Kuumi, a young woman who has just awakened her powers. When the two forge a contract to protect a city under attack, Jiiro discovers Kuumi is an escapee from a laboratory and is now being pursued by Mezami’s subordinates, the agents of the facility’s head researcher. Agreeing—if reluctantly—to help her run, Jiiro sets out with Kuumi and her companion Myaa, a girl in a cat-like headdress, and their journey across Ars soon reveals that the greatest danger may come from people, not beasts.
