To LOVE-Ru OVA

*To LOVE-Ru OVA* collects six short, sci-fi-tinged romantic comedy side stories built around Lala’s inventions and the chaos they bring to Rito’s everyday life. One experiment meant to enhance Lala’s figure goes awry and transforms Rito into a girl, while another mishap later leaves him literally stuck to Lala in an especially awkward way.

The episodes also shift focus to Mikan’s feelings of being left behind, weaving in childhood flashbacks as she runs off and Rito searches for her. Elsewhere, Haruna wins a resort getaway for ten girls—only for Rito to end up tagging along after being turned into a dog—and the group is pulled into an RPG-like world where they must rescue Lala and face an evil witch named Kyouko. Nana and Momo stir up trouble during a cherry blossom viewing, and additional vignettes include Yami and Yui’s run-in with an upperclassman and Mikan getting caught up in a bag-snatching incident while shopping with Peke.
