The Mystic Archives of Dantalian

Six months after the death of his eccentric grandfather, famed rare-book collector Sir Wesley Disward, Lord Hugh Anthony Disward—Huey—returns to claim his inheritance. The will grants him the manor and its contents on one condition: he must become the guardian of the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian, an archive of forbidden knowledge, and look after a mysterious girl named Dalian.

While Huey is settling in, a longtime rival of Wesley’s requests a meeting. Dalian insists on accompanying him, convinced the man is Wesley’s killer, and discovers he possesses a Phantom Book—a cursed volume Wesley once tried to seal away. When the book’s power puts them in peril, Huey learns that the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian and Dalian are one and the same. Entrusted with the key that unlocks her hidden knowledge, Huey joins Dalian in sealing the Phantom Book, beginning a wary partnership investigating supernatural cases tied to other dangerous tomes.
