Le Chevalier D'Eon

In 18th-century Paris, a coffin drifts along the Seine carrying the body of Lia de Beaumont—an aristocrat who served as a spy for King Louis XV. Her newly knighted younger brother, D’Eon, is shaken by her death, and when people begin vanishing across the city, he becomes convinced the disappearances are tied to Lia’s murder. Determined to uncover who killed her, he enlists with the secret police and throws himself into the investigation.

As the inquiry unfolds, D’Eon and his comrades trace the trail toward a hidden plot involving French and Russian nobles, with a cult-like influence lurking behind it. On the night they move to arrest the Duke of Orléans as a suspected ringleader, the operation collapses in horror when one of their own turns into a demonic Gargoyle and slaughters the unit. In the chaos, D’Eon is overtaken by Lia’s vengeful spirit, which seizes control of his body to strike back—leaving him to confront a conspiracy where court intrigue and the supernatural are inseparably entwined.
