Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro

Arsène Lupin III learns that the haul from his latest casino job is made up of “Gothic Bills,” famed counterfeit notes so convincing they’re nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. With Daisuke Jigen at his side, he follows the trail to the tiny nation of Cagliostro, determined to uncover where the forgeries come from. There, they intervene in a dangerous car chase and rescue Clarisse d’Cagliostro, the late duke’s daughter, who is being pursued as part of Count Cagliostro’s scheme to claim her family’s treasure through a coerced marriage.

Unwilling to leave Clarisse to her fate, Lupin throws himself into the tangled affair. Goemon Ishikawa XIII, Fujiko Mine, and Inspector Kōichi Zenigata soon arrive with their own agendas, and the conflict draws everyone toward Cagliostro Castle. As the stakes rise, Lupin recalls a visit from ten years earlier, and long-buried secrets within the castle begin to surface.
