This Ugly Yet Beautiful World

High schooler Takeru Takemoto balances classes with a part-time job as a motorbike courier. One day on a delivery run, a mysterious light streaks past him and sends him tumbling into a forest, where he discovers a radiant cocoon opening to reveal a girl who calls herself Hikari.

Caught off guard by her nudity, Takeru barely has time to process what he’s seeing before a bizarre monster attacks. With danger closing in, both he and Hikari reveal unexpected powers tied to hidden sides of themselves—leaving Takeru fighting to survive without yet understanding what he’s been pulled into.
