Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen

In *Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen*, the familiar turning point from *Rozen Maiden* is revisited: Jun Sakurada once chose “yes” and became entangled in battles alongside the uncanny, living dolls known as the Rozen Maidens. Here, the story asks what his life might look like if he had instead marked “no.”

Having moved past the school trauma that once defined him, Jun now attends college and works at a bookstore, yet still feels out of place. His routine shifts when he discovers a book detailing how to assemble a Rozen Maiden, and additional volumes—and doll parts—begin appearing at his home without explanation. The deliveries abruptly end with a notice that publication has been discontinued, leaving Jun with an unfinished doll and a message from another version of himself, drawing him toward the Rozen Maidens’ world once again.
