Grappler Baki

Doppo Orochi takes a seat to observe the championship bout of his dojo’s youth karate tournament, where his student Atsushi Suedou meets Baki Hanma—a teenage newcomer who has been coasting through the bracket with unsettling ease. Baki’s raw ability sparks Doppo’s curiosity, and he sets out to learn what kind of fighter the boy really is.

Joined by fellow disciple Kiyosumi Katou, Doppo heads to the Tokugawa underground arena, a concealed freestyle battleground where nearly anything goes as long as weapons stay out of the ring. There, they discover Baki’s next opponent: Koushou Shinogi, a feared karate master known for the deadly Cord-Cutting technique.
