Souichiro Nagi and Bob Makihara arrive at Toudou Academy expecting high school to be their proving ground—an all-out climb to the top of the student body through sheer fighting skill. They quickly learn they’ve picked the worst possible place to start trouble: Toudou isn’t focused on ordinary academics, but was founded to revive martial arts in Japan, and its halls are filled with students who take combat seriously.

Their attempt to dominate the campus is shut down almost immediately by upperclassmen Masataka Takayanagi and Maya Natsume, who stop the duo with ease. Instead of backing off, Souichiro and Bob’s rivalry only intensifies as they confront the brutal hierarchy of the school and the powerful fighters within it—along with the unsettling attention Souichiro draws from Maya’s younger sister.
