Marriage

Marriage unfolds in two engaging 30-minute segments by Miki Kasamatsu, exploring the complexities of love and the pursuit of companionship. In the first narrative, a group of young women, having graduated and settled into their adult lives, begins to contemplate the idea of marriage. Among them is Shizuka, whose shyness and lack of romantic prospects raise concerns among her friends. Eager to help her find happiness, they encourage her to join The Wedding Club, a dating service. However, after a disappointing first match, Shizuka starts to question whether she will ever find her ideal partner.

The second story centers on five sisters, with only one remaining single—Kiyomi, who appears indifferent to the idea of marriage. Her sisters, however, are determined to change that, especially when a co-worker expresses interest in asking her out. They conspire to push him towards proposing that very evening, but convincing Kiyomi to entertain the notion of marriage proves to be a daunting task. With her strong personality, Kiyomi may leave the young man second-guessing his intentions, and the outcome remains uncertain as both love and commitment hang in the balance.
