Futaba Yoshioka, a junior high student who can’t stand how loud and unruly boys tend to be, finds herself drawn to one exception: Kou Tanaka from the class next door. As their paths keep crossing, the two share hesitant conversations and lingering looks, leaving Futaba—new to romance—unsure what to make of the feelings quietly taking shape.

In “Page.13,” now in their second year of high school, Futaba and her friends head to a summer festival. Yuuri Makita arrives in a yukata with a clear goal of getting closer to Kou, and Futaba can only watch as the distance between them seems to shrink. With their relationship shifting in front of her, Futaba is left wondering whether she can still move forward with Kou.
