Synopsis

In Paris, freelance assassin Mireille Bouquet receives an unsettling email from Kirika Yuumura, a Japanese student asking her to “make a pilgrimage to the past” together. She’s ready to dismiss it as a prank—until the message triggers a melody Mireille remembers from her own childhood.

When they finally meet, armed men attack without warning. Mireille holds her ground, but it’s Kirika who proves unexpectedly lethal, dispatching several assailants with practiced ease. Kirika admits something even stranger: she can kill without feeling remorse, yet she has no memory of where her abilities came from—or even who she truly is.

Convinced their histories are tangled, Mireille joins forces with Kirika under the codename “Noir.” As the pair take on dangerous contracts, each job pulls them deeper into organized crime and closer to the buried truth behind their shared past.
