Canaan

Japanese photographer Maria Oosawa is on assignment in Shanghai, chasing promising leads around the city with her partner, Mino. When unsettling incidents break out during a local festival, the two follow the story—only to stumble into a violent clash involving masked attackers and an enigmatic white-haired woman.

As danger closes in, Maria is rescued by Canaan, a friend from her past. Their reunion is quickly overshadowed by a growing conspiracy tied to a lethal virus, forcing Canaan to face the history she’s tried to leave behind in order to protect those caught in the unfolding crisis.
