Steins;Gate: The Sagacious Wisdom of Cognitive Computing

Mayuri Shiina arrives at the Future Gadget Lab with an unusual “cognitive computing” system in tow—one whose interface is a giant pink Oopa plush. Convinced it can help her and Kurisu Makise cook fried chicken for everyone, she ropes it into the kitchen despite Rintarou Okabe and Itaru “Daru” Hashida’s skepticism. Even with missing ingredients, the quirky computer lends a hand as Mayuri and Kurisu work toward a recipe the lab can actually enjoy.

As the episodes continue, the Oopa terminal keeps finding small ways to support the group’s everyday routines: smoothing things over when Okabe and Kurisu butt heads, gathering feedback from the members, and offering suggestions to make the Lab run better. Okabe may grumble, but the Future Gadget Lab quietly gains a surprisingly helpful new presence.
