Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls

With his parents overseas, Kimihito Kurusu expects a calm life on his own—until Japan’s interspecies exchange program drops a lamia named Miia into his care. Set in an alternate, near-future Japan that’s taken the lead in integrating non-human citizens, the arrangement is supposed to be a simple homestay. Instead, a bureaucratic mishap turns Kimihito into Miia’s designated caretaker, and her immediate attachment to her new “Darling” quickly draws more monster girls of different species into his orbit.

Their growing household is complicated by the Interspecies Exchange Act, which strictly forbids sexual contact between species, leaving only a controversial experimental marriage clause as a possible workaround. As affection escalates and daily life fills with species-specific rules and legal tightropes, Kimihito finds himself constantly fending off eager advances while trying to keep everyone safe—and on the right side of the law.
