Kimihiro Watanuki has never had an ordinary life, especially with his ability to see spirits. In xxxHOLiC◆Kei, he continues working under Yuuko Ichihara, the enigmatic proprietor of a peculiar shop who has promised to free him from that burden—once he has earned it. At her establishment, wishes can be granted, but only at a price equal to what the requester desires.

Suspended between the realms of the living and the dead, the shop keeps Watanuki busy with chores for the seemingly indolent Yuuko and her unusual companions, as well as with the steady stream of troubled clients who come seeking help. With classmate Shizuka Doumeki—often treated as a romantic rival—and Watanuki’s crush Himawari Kunogi nearby, he finds himself drawn into the misfortunes surrounding Yuuko’s customers and the strange incidents that continue to follow them all.
