Tales of Zestiria the X

The Celestial Records tell of the Seraphim—divine spirits who bestow blessings upon humanity and receive prayers in return. Those chosen to perceive and commune with them are called Shepherds, figures celebrated as saviors in times of calamity yet also regarded with fear for the power they wield.

Sorey, a human raised among the Seraphim in the hidden village of Elysia, has long been captivated by these legends. Accompanied by Mikleo, his Seraphim companion since childhood, he ventures into nearby ruins to learn more about the Seraphim’s past ties to mankind. Their exploration goes awry when they become trapped deep within the site, where they encounter a mysterious girl pleading for a Shepherd’s aid as darkness threatens the world. Against Mikleo’s caution about dealing with humans, Sorey chooses to help—setting him on a path toward the hope of harmony between humans and Seraphim.
