Chiharu Kashima serves as the young captain of the Wizard Bureau’s Crisis Countermeasures Division—one of the rare few capable of wielding magic. During a visit to his usual bar, he meets Toyohi Utsumi, an open, friendly man who has long admired the very idea of wizards and can’t believe he’s finally face-to-face with one.

Toyohi’s excitement quickly turns personal when he admits he’s fallen for Kashima. As they begin spending more time together, Kashima finds himself torn between the warmth of Toyohi’s affection and a lingering doubt: is Toyohi drawn to Chiharu himself, or only to the mystique of “Kashima the Wizard”?
