As Shouichi Kamita navigates the pressures of high school—especially the looming university entrance exams—another worry begins to take root: the confusing pull of first love, a feeling that can unsettle anyone no matter their age.

Three girls stand out in Shouichi’s everyday life, each offering a different kind of connection. Hikari Tsuneki is bright and relentlessly teasing, yet kinder than she first appears; Tooru Miyamae is a fiercely competitive gamer who struggles to express herself; and Kyouko Touno, Shouichi’s childhood friend, is a shoujo manga fan whose immaturity can show at times. Seiren tells their stories in three separate arcs, tracing how simple interest gradually deepens into romance.
