Akiba's Trip The Animation

Otaku siblings Tamotsu and Niwaka Denkigai are browsing Akihabara when the district is suddenly thrown into chaos by vampiric, cosplay-themed creatures called “Bugged Ones.” After a bite allows these monsters to take over their victims, the city quickly fills with strange incidents—and Tamotsu’s own brush with danger ends only when he’s saved by Matome Mayonaka, a mysterious girl who fights with a baseball bat.

As Tamotsu and Matome face repeated run-ins with the Bugged Ones, he’s gravely injured while protecting her, forcing Matome to bring him back as a powerful Bugged One like herself. Joined by energetic otaku cosplayer Arisa Ahokainen, they form the team “The Electric Mayonnaise” and hunt down the invaders Akihabara-style: stripping away their disguises to expose them to sunlight.
