Tada Never Falls in Love

Mitsuyoshi Tada, a second-year high school student with dreams of becoming a photographer, has never given much thought to romance. That changes when he meets Teresa Wagner, a cheerful foreign girl, while photographing a cherry blossom tree. After a brief encounter—and a couple more chance run-ins the same day—Tada finds Teresa caught in a sudden rain shower and brings her to his family’s coffee shop to warm up. There, she reveals she’s been separated from her traveling companion, the blunt redhead Alexandra “Alec” Magritte, before the two reunite and part ways, assuming they’ll never meet again.

The very next day, Teresa and Alec turn up as transfer students in Tada’s class at Koinohoshi High School. As they settle in, they join Tada’s photography club alongside his flamboyantly self-assured friend Kaoru Ijuuin, idol fanatic Hajime Sugimoto, diligent class representative Hinako Hasegawa, and the ever-earnest Kentarou Yamashita. With the club’s lively new dynamic, Tada’s quiet routine begins to shift—and so does his outlook on love.
