Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul

Marked by shared grief, Nanachi throws in with Riko and Reg as they continue their descent into the Abyss. Their path leads to the fifth layer, the Sea of Corpses—described as the deepest point a delver can reach and still return without losing their human form.

Blocking the way is Bondrewd, a masked scientist whose brutal research facility functions as a checkpoint for anyone attempting to go further. His reappearance reopens old wounds for Nanachi, whose past is tied to Bondrewd’s cruelty, while Riko’s group is forced to confront the cost he demands for passage. One possible crack in his armor is Prushka, a forthright child who calls herself his daughter; by drawing close to her, the trio seeks a way past Bondrewd’s schemes and onward toward the sixth layer.
