Ultraman

Half a century after a towering being of light called Ultraman protected Earth and then disappeared, Shin Hayata has lived on with no recollection of his days as the hero’s human host. His son, Shinjirou, grows up noticeably different—stronger and tougher than any ordinary person—until the Science Special Search Party (SSSP) finally reveals the truth of Hayata’s past.

When Shinjirou is targeted by the alien Bemular, Hayata intervenes and is gravely wounded, leaving the city exposed as more extraterrestrial threats move in. With his father sidelined, Shinjirou is pushed into the role of Ultraman, working alongside the SSSP while grappling with what it truly means to protect others—and how far he’s willing to go to do it.
