Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan

Looking for a place where she belongs, Hisone Amakasu joins the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and is assigned to Gifu Airbase. A chance detour into a restricted area exposes the base’s biggest secret: the Organic Transformed Flyer (OTF), a dragon capable of disguising itself as an aircraft. After a startling encounter in which the creature swallows her and spits her back out, Hisone is told that she’s been selected as the next Dragon Pilot.

Paired with her own OTF, Maso-tan, Hisone trains alongside other pilot cadets while grappling with her anxieties and self-doubt. As she learns what it takes to fly in sync with an OTF, she also begins to uncover the mysteries surrounding the dragons hidden within the JASDF.
