Captain Tsubasa (2018)

Eleven-year-old Tsubasa Oozora lives and breathes soccer. What began as a childhood pastime quickly becomes an all-consuming goal, setting him apart from friends who see the sport as simple fun.

To chase his dream as far as his elementary school years will allow, Tsubasa moves with his mother to Nankatsu City, a place known for its strong school teams. The level of play is far higher than what he’s used to, and standing out will demand more than being the best back home.

Along the way, he meets both fierce rivals and supportive companions, including Sanae Nakazawa and gifted goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi, whose shared passion helps drive Tsubasa forward. With the FIFA World Cup as his ultimate ambition, he learns that reaching the top will take more than raw talent alone.
