Synopsis
After his courageous stand in the war against Albion, Saito Hiraga is granted knighthood and elevated to aristocratic status—an abrupt shift that leaves Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière struggling to adjust. With the old dynamic of Void mage and bumbling familiar no longer fitting, Louise is forced to confront what their partnership is supposed to become.
On the way to a castle, Louise is attacked by the formidable mage Sheffield and pushed to the brink until Saito arrives to turn the tide. The encounter hints at the still-mysterious workings of Void magic, raising the unsettling possibility that another Void user may exist.
