Whispers circulate about an ageless girl who appears only after dark, residing in a secluded mansion deep in the woods—some even insist she’s a living doll with a soul. Curious and determined to see the truth for herself, Akari Amano heads out in search of the mysterious resident, only to lose her way in the forest at night.

She’s rescued by Sophie Twilight, a vampire who turns out to be the very figure from the rumors. Sophie is nothing like the frightening legends, though: she doesn’t prey on humans and instead has blood delivered to her doorstep.
