Synopsis

Shinobu Oomiya once spent time in England on a homestay, where she formed a close bond with Alice Cartelet, the host family’s daughter. When Shinobu had to return to Japan, the two shared a heartfelt goodbye even as the language between them made it hard to say everything they felt.

Five years later, now a first-year high school student, Shinobu receives an airmail letter she can’t read—only to learn it’s from Alice, who is coming to Japan for a homestay of her own. Alice will be living with Shinobu and attending the same school, joining Shinobu’s friends Youko Inokuma, Aya Komichi, and Karen Kujou as the girls spend their days together, discovering small delights in friendship and the cultures they bring with them.
