Synopsis
Announced in V-Jump in May 2018, *Super Dragon Ball Heroes* is a promotional anime tied to *Dragon Ball Heroes*, the Japanese arcade and trading card game. The game later received a Nintendo Switch version for western audiences, while the card component is released as *Dragon Ball Super TCG* and, in Japan, is combined with another card game of the same name.
Designed as a short production that wasn’t expected to air on television, it adapts the game’s Prison Planet Arc along with the manga arcs “Big Bang Mission” and “Ultra God Mission,” which are also covered in the *Heroes* manga published in Saikyou Jump under two separate continuities. The manga has not been officially published in English, and the first episode premiered on July 1, 2018 at Aeon Lake Town.
