Synopsis
After an unsettling dream featuring a mysterious ancestor, high schooler Yuuko Yoshida wakes up to find demonic horns and a tail. Her mother finally discloses the family’s long-hidden truth: they descend from a Dark Clan condemned to weakness and poverty after being defeated by the Light Clan’s magical girls. To break the curse on their bloodline, Yuuko is told she must kill a magical girl and use her blood to restore an ancestral Demon God statue.
Trying to live up to the grand title “Shadow Mistress Yuuko” proves difficult when the first magical girl she runs into saves her from an oncoming truck—and turns out to be her own classmate, Momo Chiyoda. Far stronger and more capable than Yuuko in every way, Momo takes pity on her would-be attacker and even offers to help train her and awaken her latent abilities.
