Natsuza Yuzuki has played rugby as a left winger since childhood, and after entering Doushisha University he quickly earns attention as a standout in the Kansai University League. Everything changes when a serious motorcycle accident leaves him with a spinal hernia, ending his days on the field. With playing no longer an option, he takes on the only role left to him—team manager—throwing himself into helping Doushisha chase a league title.

The squad around him is anything but simple: his calm, dependable best friend Seiichirou Jingyouji anchors the back line at fullback; first-year Yasunari Tsuru steps into Yuzuki’s former left-wing spot while openly bristling at his senior; and scrum half Yuu Mashiro struggles to keep his footing in the lineup. Even with Yuzuki’s relentless support from the sidelines, Doushisha still feels like it’s missing a key piece—especially after former ace fly-half Ibuki Ueka abruptly walked away from rugby a year earlier, prompting Yuzuki to try to bring him back.
