Heaven's Design Team

At creation’s dawn, God wants Earth filled with a rich variety of animals—but coming up with endless new designs that meet divine requirements proves exhausting. The solution is delegation: the task is handed to an in-house group of specialists known as Heaven’s Design Team, who are responsible for dreaming up creatures fit for the world below.

Newly hired angel Shimoda serves as the go-between for God and the designers, learning the ropes as he relays requests and reactions. In their workplace, brainstorming sessions turn into lively lessons in animal design, exploring how everything from giraffes and snakes to birds and anteaters might have come to be—one quirky concept at a time.
