The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace

Eight hundred years ago, humanity stood on the edge of annihilation as demons ravaged the world. In answer to desperate prayers, the battle gods known as the Idaten came into being—beings of extraordinary strength and endurance who drove the demons back and ushered in an age of hard-won peace.

Generations later, that peace has left the current Idaten with no firsthand knowledge of demon cruelty. Under the guidance of Rin, the lone survivor from the ancient conflict, the newer gods train and search for purpose in a world that no longer seems to need them. Their quiet era ends when the ruthless Zoble Empire revives a demon, forcing the Idaten to face their old enemy once again.
