Insomniacs After School

Ganta Nakami drifts through high school exhausted, rarely able to fall asleep at night. The constant fatigue leaves him short-tempered in class and always on the lookout for a quiet corner where he can steal a few minutes of rest. Isaki Magari, by contrast, comes off as an easygoing, well-liked classmate—yet she keeps her own sleep troubles hidden from everyone.

Magari has turned the school’s long-abandoned astronomy club observatory into a private refuge for naps, and Nakami stumbles upon her there one day. Realizing they share the same nightly struggle, she invites him to use the observatory as well. As they begin spending time together in their shared hideaway, the comfort of having someone who understands starts to make their days—and their insomnia—feel a little more manageable.
