Asteroid in Love

As a child, Mira Kinohata crossed paths with Ao Manaka, a quiet stargazer who opened her eyes to the beauty of astronomy—from the paths of planets to the glow of faraway stars. Before they separated, Mira learned there was a star bearing her own name, while Ao had none, inspiring a promise: someday she would discover a new asteroid and name it after Ao.

Years later at Hoshizaki Academy, Mira arrives in high school still devoted to the night sky and eager to join the Astronomy Club—only to find it has been combined with the Geology Club into a single Earth Sciences Club. Joining anyway brings an unexpected joy: Ao is there too, reunited after years apart. With their new clubmates, the two set out to chase their old vow and see just how challenging it is to find an asteroid.
