Lonely Castle in the Mirror

In a quiet Tokyo neighborhood, seven students have stopped going to school, each withdrawing into a darkened bedroom and struggling to face family and friends—until the mirrors in their rooms begin to glow. With a single touch, they’re drawn out of their isolation and into an ornate castle that feels lifted from a Grimm fairy tale.

The castle, strangely short on everyday comforts like food and running water yet dotted with electrical outlets, is overseen by a masked, temperamental girl known as the Wolf Queen. During school hours it becomes both refuge and playground, but its invitation comes with strict rules: somewhere inside is a hidden key that can grant one wish, and clues have been left to help them find it. They must locate the key before the school year ends, and they must leave by five o’clock each day—or face a deadly consequence.

As their search continues, the only way forward becomes clear: survival depends on the courage to speak honestly. By sharing what they’ve been carrying—neglect masked by material gifts, a sudden and painful rejection, fear of a predatory stepfather—they begin to understand one another, breaking a cycle of misunderstanding and loneliness through empathy, friendship, and sacrifice.
