In the decade following the Great War, the world has learned just how devastating modern weapons can be. Determined to prevent another calamity, nations increasingly turn to espionage, letting spies pursue political aims from the shadows.

In the Din Republic, a bright-eyed trainee named Lily dreams of serving her country as a spy, but her poor academic performance leaves her questioning whether she has what it takes. Her resolve returns when she’s offered a provisional graduation—on the condition that she joins a covert unit known as Lamplight. When Lily arrives, she finds six other girls in the same position, each struggling in her own way, and they’re soon met by the elusive Klaus, who assigns them an “Impossible Mission”: infiltrate the Galgad Empire after only one month of training. With doubts running high, the team commits to Klaus’ instruction, seeing Lamplight as their best shot at proving themselves.
